Currently, Perrygo is seeking a Test Engineer to support multiple projects across the AIRWorks organization in support of our customers.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Provide T&E support to the AIRWorks T&E Lead Engineer supporting all AIRWorks projects.

  • Support test activities by performing professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods

  • Provide technically sound advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on specific technical aspects of systems or concept development

  • Support program leadership in resolving both technical and administrative problems associated with development of all AIRWorks Projects

  • Provide informal training and mentoring to other test and engineering personnel related to the position that is being filled

  • Carryout assignments, resolving conflicts independently; coordinating the work with others as necessary; interpreting policy and regulatory requirements; keeping the supervisor informed of progress and potentially controversial problems, concerns, issues, or other matters; developing changes to plans and/or methodology; and providing recommendations for improvements in order to meet program objectives

  • Support test and evaluation efforts and is responsible for identification of critical program test elements, translating engineering test requirements into test plans, conduct of tests, engineering analysis of test data, and reporting of test results

  • Support definition of functional requirements for future test facilities, equipment, and instrumentation systems

  • Support the T&E program and is responsible for the day-to-day test planning, execution and reporting of the system under test, including:

  • (1) Development of test documentation,

  • (2) Execution of developmental tests and reporting of test results,

  • (3) Supporting the Lead Test Engineer to ensure that program test objectives are met, and test resources are provided.

  • Support identification of the appropriate types and depth of testing required for the planning phase of a comprehensive weapon systems project

  • Consolidate inputs from each type of testing for presentation to appropriate customer. Inputs include cost estimates, scheduling, test plans, and reports as required

  • Supports Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) for technical determination of system performance and operational suitability for fleet implementation

  • Coordinate developmental test (DT), contractor test (CT), and operational test (OT) program requirements to ensure adequate resources for T&E execution. Provides technical expertise as required to identify problems and corrections

  • Support, Test Plan Working Groups, Test Risk Assessment Reviews, Executive Review Board Reviews, Watch Item Reviews, and Deficiency Report (DR)

  • Review CT/DT/OT test plans

  • Support Developmental and Operational Test Readiness reviews (DTRR/OTRR)

  • Coordinate, monitor, and review required certifications prior to approval for T&E

  • Consolidates, author, and review test reports for technical/operational relationship

  • Support analysis of the AIRWorks Projects and program schedule for identification of training system requirements and implementation

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with the following:

    • Navy Modernization Process
    • Demonstrated experience NAVAIR/NAVSEA engineering processes
    • Requirements documentation

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • BS/BA is required, or an acceptable substitution

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field is highly desired

  • Ability to communicate well in team environments

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint

  • US Citizenship is required
