Information Assurance Administrator to support our customer with collecting IA artifacts in support of the Navy RMF process for systems in their hybrid on-premise and GovCloud data center. These artifacts include STIG checklists, ACAS scans and other various items supporting the assessment and authorization and continuous monitoring processes.
The ACAS System Administrator is responsible for the comprehensive administration and maintenance of the Department of Defense (DoD) Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Tenable servers. This role ensures the security and compliance of DoD networks and systems by effectively utilizing ACAS to identify vulnerabilities, manage risks, and support remediation efforts. The administrator will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and DoD security policies.
This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain ACAS Tenable Security Center, Nessus scanners and agents.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within ACAS.
• Develop and implement scan schedules, policies, and configurations to ensure comprehensive coverage of network assets.
• Analyze scan results, identify vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation efforts.
• Generate reports and dashboards to communicate vulnerability status and compliance posture to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with system owners and administrators to facilitate vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ACAS software updates, patches, and security advisories.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security policies, regulations, and STIGs related to vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot ACAS system issues and provide technical support to users, including network related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to ACAS configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Integrate ACAS with other security tools and systems as needed.
• Participate in security audits and assessments.
• Experience in installing RHEL servers
• Complete STIG Checklists using scripting and automation
• Work with a large variety of Data Center teams to alleviate findings
• Attend collaboration meetings to address STIG/SCAP discrepancies
• ACAS scanning and reports
• Knowledge/experience in network architectures and components
Certification and Education Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of at least a Security+ and Operating System certifications are required, while higher level certifications are desired.
Mid to Senior level candidates to be considered.
Security Clearance: Secret (must be a US Citizen), with ability to obtain a Top Secret
Telework and Travel: Hybrid
