This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Position Summary: As an IT Project Manager/Service Delivery Manager (SDM), the candidate will be the primary liaison between the Digital Network Applications (DNA) Department, its customers, and internal technical teams, ensuring seamless project execution from pre-requirements gathering through execution and/or delivery. The candidate will play a critical role in managing customer expectations, coordinating internal resources, and maintaining meticulous project documentation. The candidate’s ability to lead, organize, and communicate effectively will be paramount in delivering high-quality network and service solutions to the NAVAIR community.

  • Lead customer "drum beat" meetings, providing comprehensive status updates. Ensure thorough preparation for all meetings, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of project status and current customer needs
  • Tracks program/project status and schedules
  • Performs role of project manager for projects and service requests through DNA provided tracking systems and tools
  • Assists in collecting, defining, and refining business & technical requirements with customer
  • Manage all correspondence and communications between the customer and the internal team SME’s, track all actions and manage all tickets assign through DNA provided tracking systems and tools
  • Develops and recommend solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure
  • Facilitates internal and external coordination and communication among a variety of functional areas to ensure project progression
  • Provides feedback and recommendations for process improvements within the product teams
  • Review project designs and cost estimates for discrepancies. Conduct assessment of design sheets to confirm requirements.
  • Monitors & updates Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) for assigned projects
  • Hosts regular status meetings with customers to report project performance and address outstanding actions
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects, ticket request at any given time ranging from low complexity to high complexity

Basic Requirements and Education Requirements: Jr: 0-3 years and Associates Degree; Journeyman: 3+ years and Bachelors Degree. Allowable substitutions: Jr: 2 years + HS Diploma or equivalent; Journeyman: 7+ years and Associates degree OR 9+ years and HS

Security Clearance: Secret (must be a US Citizen). Top Secret may be needed in the future.

Location,Telework, and Travel: On-site initially for OJT. Could be changed to support telework based on progress during training to 1-2x per week on-site. Customer reserves the right to require return to office.
