Currently, we are seeking an Aircraft Production Data Technician to support our customers located out of San Antonio, TX. The Technician/Manager will support the F-18 E/F SLM efforts.
 

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Required to review logbooks both in hard copy and automated formats for inducted SLM aircraft. Oversee the updating and maintaining of aircraft, aircraft engines, components and equipment Logs and Records, associated equipment CM, ALS, ALSS, and SE records and monitor procedures to ensure limits of Life Limited Components are not exceeded.

  • Officially receives SLM aircraft, aircraft engine, component and equipment logbooks, conducts preliminary screening, updating and closeout of records and determines accuracy and completeness.

  • Complete SLM aircraft logbook and record entries upon incorporation and annotate technical directive (TD) reporting system (TDRS) List Nos. 02 and 04 (if applicable) or complete TD page entry requirements.

  • Reviews the contractor’s preparation of applicable bulletin and change configuration data to determine the extent of TD compliance.

  • Receives, compiles, and thoroughly reviews the completed SLM aircraft work documents involved with standard and/or special repairs/modifications and overhauls to determine if all work has been performed and authenticated.

  • Acts as the DCMA CMO focal point for review of logs and records related to the custody and control of the logs and records for all SLM inducted aircraft, aircraft engines and aircraft components.

  • Serves as the F-18 E/F, PMA-265, Air Vehicle SLM aircraft point of contact for errors, deficiencies, and complaints regarding the logs and records requirements of SLM aircraft management.

  • Monitors the library of current technical directives and publications pertaining to SLM aircraft, aircraft engines, aircraft components and equipment and ensures outdated materials is updated as necessary.

 

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in the above-mentioned responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience working with the organizational and functional structures of DCMA, the contract, and NAVAIR as they relate to logs and records during the rework of SLM aircraft and equipment
  • Ability to review/inspect and experience with Military aircraft logs and records is a must.

 

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • BS/BA is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logbooks and documentation of repair processes on multiple aircraft, as well as engines and components
  • Knowledge of Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) and Naval Aviation Logistics Command Operating Maintenance Information System (NALCOMIS)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) technical data
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the acquisition process
  • Ability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance
    • US Citizenship is required
