Currently, we are seeking Journey to Senior-level Deputy Production Engineering Analyst to support AIRWorks devision in Patuxent River, MD.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • This position will provide systems analyst support to the AIRWorks Deputy Director (DD) and actively support the AIRWorks (AW) Integrated Project Team Lead (IPTL) in directing daily operations of the projects engineering and production integration requirements.
  • The AW IPTL is responsible for supporting the AW DD in delivering a missionized C-27J aircraft for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and completing all activities required for modification of four (4) C-27J aircraft and eventual release of a commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) to modify the remaining ten (10) USCG C-27J aircraft.
  • Support/Manage APSD MRB Liaison activities by providing hands-on technical guidance during MRB issue identification/resolution, based upon previous commercial/civil liaison experiences
  • Assist & provide technical guidance in the new NAVAIR Mission Aligned Organization (MAO) Airworthiness initiative using extensive commercial/civil aircraft engineering and certification experiences.
  • Support C-27J Focused Technical Assessment (FTA) activities both domestic and international, based upon previous commercial/civil technical engineering and certification experiences
  • Oversee technical adjudications related to airframe design concerns raised by either the OEM, APSD, or NAVAIR SMEs
  • Oversee Vendor Engineering coordinations
  • Review and evaluate APSD Production activities providing insights into streamlining activities or areas of improvement.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned responsibilities
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR SETR events
  • Familiarity NAVAIRINST 13034 and MIL-HDBK-516
  • Ability to communicate well in team environments
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • BS/BA
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Active Security Clearance – minimum of at least a current DoD Interim Secret security clearance is required to begin, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to be self-directed and contribute to engagements
